Meet our team.
Erin Dwyer
Erin Dwyer is the President of the Fresh Start Initiative and is currently a junior at St. Rose High School. Erin is a three sport varsity athlete, playing soccer, swim, and lacrosse at St. Rose High School. She also plays competitive club soccer at Cedar Stars Monmouth Girl's Academy. Erin was president of the class of 2026 during her Freshman and Sophomore years at St.Rose High School. She enjoys teaching CCD once a week to children of St.Catharine's church parish. Erin is a leader in the classroom and on the sport’s fields. At St.Rose, Erin is a member of the National Honors Society, an ambassador, and a member of the Hope Squad: a peer led club helping others against suicide and promoting good mental health. During the summer, Erin works as a beach lifeguard in Spring Lake NJ. She also loves to ski, run and spend time at the beach with her family and friends. Erin’s brother Brendan founded the Fresh Start Initiative. Erin is taking it over with a personal touch by creating inspirational shells to add to the bags to brighten someone’s day, and improve mental health.
Stephanie Vitale
Stephanie Vitale is a Fresh Start Initiative 2024-2025 co-vice president. At St. Rose High School Stephanie is currently on the Student Council Board for her third year and a member of the National Honor Society. At St Rose High school Stephanie is a part of the girls soccer, swim, and lacrosse teams. On Stephanie’s recent service trip to Appalachia, West Virginia she grew a strong passion for helping others. As a eucharistic minister and a teachers assistant at St. Catharine’s CCD, helping others comes naturally. Stephanie is a passionate person who loves to be there for support and is so happy to be a part of this team. To keep busy Stephanie is also a Spring Lake pool lifeguard with hopes of becoming a beach lifeguard this upcoming season. During time off you will find Steph relaxing with family or with his friends skiing in the winter and enjoying the weather at the beach.
Gianna Decina
Gianna Decina is a Junior at St Rose High School, and a co-vice president of the Fresh Start Initiative. At St.Rose, Gianna is currently a member of The National Honors Society and Hope Squad, a club focused on suicide and mental health, a Eucharistic minister, and an ambassador. Gianna is also an integral player on the St Rose softball team.
Outside of school Gianna plays travel softball for NJ Ruthless, is a pool lifeguard for Spring Lake, as well as a hostess at Harpoon Willy’s.
In her free time Gianna likes to go to the beach, spend time with family and friends, attend concerts, travel, shop, and listen to music.
